lyrics

I tried to catch the wind, but it got away
blowing through the leaves into my own day.
I think I left the window into my heart open.
I think I left my memories in the Garden of May.

We used to laugh so often, now it's like we're dead.
Forgetting all the beauty where we rested our heads.
And if you listen, you can almost hear
the sound of singing in the summer fields.

And I wish we could go back, I wish we could feel
The same joy to be alive, the same light behind our eyes.
Cause I dropped my memories in the Garden of May.

When we were young, the trees looked like giant shadows.
We'd hide under the leaves when the sky went gray.
The drops that fell were dreams we would never capture.
The rain came down and all we knew was washed away.
